Come for Sunday brunch! - Edit
The expectations were high and they were met. Really just that simple 🙏🏼 very tasty borscht with vegan sourcream, juicy seitan and mushroom pieces on the side pampushky! Well executed, everything worked so well together and I would like to try pretty much everything else they create. Hoping they end up opening a restaurant again at some point!

Staying strong - Edit
Even after their cafe closed, they reopened and continue cooking! We are happy for them and here for it! Check their Instagram for video tutorial on how to arrive.
Read moreWe came for the Sunday brunch. They were already out of cinnamon buns, but someone on one of the 2 tables available shared with us their last bite so we could taste! 🥹❤️🥰 the sweetest gesture and we did enjoy that bite. 🙏
Today, they had borscht on the menu and pampushky. I really enjoyed the borscht broth the most.
It is a cash or money transfer place so make sure to have enough local currency if you’re visiting from abroad 🤗

Mind blowing - Edit
Check Instagram 20022-bak and/or 2022-place for updates (in the stories!) Amazing place that you should definitely visit if you get the chance! When I just arrived in Yerevan I couldn’t figure out when they were open, but they are usually open on one weekendday (in October 2025, Sunday brunch was their main thing but that might change). Right now they typically serve 2 mains, and they sell tofu (in blocks of 1kg), buns and mochi as well as usually some non-alcoholic drink. They will have some seating outside but it will be limited. Quality of the food is outstanding, I had tempura tuna sushi roll the other day and it was AMAZING. I can’t wait to be back for the next weekend brunch

Incredible vegan food and amazing cakes! - Edit
Bak is "yard" in Armenian. Just a great vegan project! They work one day a week - on one day of weekend (news on their insta).
Read moreEvery time the guys come up with a new menu, and every time it's something amazing. Very satisfying, beautiful food, with a rich taste. I've tried seitan minced crepes (blini), kimchi pancake, shashlyk with tabbouleh, grilled seitan burger, amazing sushi rolls. You can order your food, have a seat at the patio, and enjoy the rustle of leaves and the sun's rays. In the coworking space, which is located 2 meters from the courtyard, you can order coffee with plantbased milk or beer. Every week I look forward to the weekend!
Here you can also order various vegan cakes and desserts for the desired date. I have already ordered two large cakes: "Napoleon" and a classic cake with vanilla biscuits, buttercream and fresh strawberries. I'm just delighted with desserts 2022_bak.
It's a must visit. Highly recommend!

"Bak" actually means "lenten food" in Armenian.
